The Multikulti Project - Spontaneous Music Tribune publishing series, dedicated to the Iberian improvised music scene, is consistently growing.

The eleventh part is the album "Venusik", and it is signed by musicians extremely significant for the European improvised music scene - Axel Dörner (trumpet, electronics), Agustí Fernández (piano) and Ramon Prats (drums, percussion instruments). The trio invites us on an intriguing journey into the world of music exploring the yet unexplored layers of sounds that can be provided by acoustic instruments, gently supported by electronics. This music in the imagination of the Spanish journalist Carlos Pérez Cruz (elclubdejazz.com) created the following associations:

“It is (...) the music of the lurking beast hidden in the Amazon rainforest and the sounds resounding in it and the percussive whips that wind the branches of the trees; it is an echo of a ceremony with tribal drums that are both disturbing and alluring; it's the deep reverberation of a huge piano that shifts the ground; it's a distant cry of freedom; day and night, consolation and anxiety, it is autumn maturity that is reborn with new juices of improvised spring”.

The premiere of the album "Venusik" coincides with the award of the prestigious German "Jazzpreis Berlin 2019" award to Axel Dörner. The justification reads, inter alia: that “Dörner has created completely new soundscapes by deliberately moving away from traditional ways of playing.

Dedykowana iberyjskiej scenie muzyki improwizowanej seria wydawnicza Multikulti Project - Spontaneous Music Tribune konsekwentnie się rozrasta.

Jedenasta jej część to płyta „Venusik”, a sygnują ją niezwykle znaczący dla europejskiej sceny muzyki improwizowanej muzycy - Axel Dörner (trąbka, elektronika), Agustí Fernández (fortepian) i Ramon Prats (perkusja, instrumenty perkusyjne). Trio zaprasza nas na intrygującą podróż do świata muzyki eksplorującej niezbadane jeszcze pokłady dźwięków, jakie dostarczyć mogą instrumenty akustyczne, delikatnie wspierane elektroniką. Muzyka ta w wyobraźni hiszpańskiego dziennikarza Carlosa Péreza Cruza (elclubdejazz.com) stworzyła takie oto skojarzenia:
„Jest to (....) muzyka przyczajonej bestii, ukrytej w lasach deszczowych Amazonii i dźwięczących w nim odgłosów i perkusyjnych biczy, które wiją gałęzie drzew; jest to echo ceremonii rozbrzmiewającej plemiennymi bębnami, które są zarówno niepokojące, jak i pociągające; to głęboki pogłos ogromnego fortepianu, który przesuwa podłoże; to dalekie wołanie wolności; dzień i noc, pocieszenie i niepokój, to jesienna dojrzałość, która odradza się z nowymi sokami improwizowanej wiosny”.

Premiera płyty „Venusik” zbiega się w czasie z przyznaniem Axelowi Dörnerowi prestiżowej, niemieckiej nagrody „Jazzpreis Berlin 2019”. W uzasadnieniu czytamy m.in. iż „Dörner stworzył zupełnie nowe przestrzenie dźwiękowe, poprzez celowe odejście od tradycyjnych sposobów grania. Zajmuje szczególne miejsce na międzynarodowej scenie jazzowej i jest ważnym punktem odniesienia dla muzyków spoza Niemiec”. Nagrodę przyznaje RBB Kulturradio wraz z Senackim Departamentem Kultury i Europy. Serdecznie gratulujemy!
