Solo project of Wojciech Jachna, the well known polish avant-garde trumpeter, a musician of astonishing virtuosity and versatility presenting a radical melancholic own compositions and steely interpretation of the standard repertoire, including tunes of Krzysztof Komeda, Ornette Coleman, Tomasz Stanko, Janusz Sławiński and Andrzej Przybielski.
Wojciech Jachna is known on the Polish jazz scene for blurring boundaries between genres, and have worked on many experimental projects, crossing over into psychedelic music and folk like Contemporary Noise Sextet, Mordy and Sing Sing Penelope. He is a member now of plenty projects like Innercity Ensemble, Jachna/Buhl, Jachna/Tarwid/Karch, JAZĄBU, Jachna/Wójciński and Jachna/Mazurkiewicz/Buhl.
"Emanacje - trumpet solo sessions" presents remarkably melodic/melancholic forms and more abstract and stream-of-consciousness than everything what you could hear so far!

"The aim of our project was to collect music recordings needed for the release of the original album" Emanation - solo trumpet". The project is at the same time an attempt to answer the question: how space (not only acoustically) affects the musician-improviser... Is the atmosphere of the place, (where the artist is) can be a source of valuable inspiration?
The acoustic space of the room is an essential element of a larger set of features that are supposed to describe the "emanancy" of the place - the ability to subjectively interact through the atmosphere. In the described artistic experiment, music has the role of a catalyst and at the same time an indicator of the level of emanation of the studied place.

"Celem naszego projektu, było zebranie materiałów (nagrań muzycznych) umożliwiających wydanie autorskiego albumu „Emanation - solo trumpet”. Projekt miał być jednocześnie próbą odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jaki sposób przestrzeń/otoczenie wpływa na muzyka-wykonawcę. Czy miejsce wraz z „atmosferą” jaka w nim panuje (uwzględniając pole akustyczne, ogólny wygląd, położenie, dawne przeznaczenie…) może wpływać na charakter improwizowanej przez muzyka melodii.

Projekt polegał na nagraniu wariacji kilkunastu melodii na trąbkę solo, w różnych ciekawych przestrzeniach dostępnych w Bydgoszczy i okolicach. Wybrane miejsca różnią się przede wszystkim akustyką. Nie bez znaczenia jest również różna konstrukcja, architektura, geneza, dawne i obec.......
