This record will certainly make the domestic stage very proud. Tomas Kocko & ORCHESTRA made a musical version of classical outlaw story (Ondras). The story follows the entire path troughout Onras’s life. The life full of helping and giving hope for simple, poor and discriminated people. Consenquently stading behind their rights was at the end punished. The story starts with Ondras as a newborn, continues with the escape to nearby mountains and ends with Ondras´s execution.
Musically the album sits on the edge between true folk music and the world music and it should not be misses by someone interested in real folk art, without a conservative influence.
The Ondras is probably closer to the “Ceskomoravska hudebni spolecnost” and Dagmar Andrtova – Vonkova. The record is over all very well made, full of ideas with a great sound. Dominating elements are Kocko´s quitar. Sometimes other instruments are pushed back and very seldom prevail. However, this doesn´t reduce the overall sound and the effect is quite complete. Among some of the best songs are Vystup 1 (Appearance 1), with quite impressive guitar play. Vystup 7 (Appearance 7) with dominating percussion.
The song “Stoji kostel kamenny” (The stone church) will most likely move even some of the most hard-lined atheists.
This kind of music should belong not only to Folk Music festivals, but definitely be a part of the “the world music”; played in rock music clubs and perhaps even churches.

Sześcioosobowa formacja z Moraw grająca i śpiewająca muzykę folkową "Z drugiej strony gór", a więc jeszcze z charakterystycznymi elementami góralskiej dynamiki muzycznej, które splecione są z wyraźnymi akcentami brzmień węgierskich, a nawet liryką wołoskich ballad.

Lider Orchestry - Tomas Kocko jest autorem polsko-czeskiego spektaklu muzycznego pt. "Cieszyńskie niebo", który z powodzeniem wystawiamy jest w cieszyńskich teatrach po obu stronach granicy. Współpracuje z Jaromirem Nogawicą, komponując muzykę do jego poetyckich tekstów.

Orhestra występowała przed dwoma laty na prestiżowym festiwalu Polskiego Radia "Nowa tradycja", a porywający i niezwykle widowiskowy koncert, który przedstawili przyniósł im zasłużone Grand Prix.



Współczesna poezja śpiewana mocno osadzona w morawskim folku - to muzyczny styl szczególnie charakterystyczny dla wytwórni Indies (jednym z pierwszych takich albumów był "Domácí lékař� Vladimíra Václavka). Z piosenki ludowej wyrasta także twórczość piosenkarza Tomása Kočka. Wraz z trzyosobową "orkiestrą" tworzy on wyjątkowo liryczne piosenki, które mają wszystkie predyspozycje, by za parę lat stać się na Morawach naprawdę ludowymi.
