After many years of absence in Zoharum, Karol Su/Ka returns with his music to our catalog. The release presented here is a double album, showing two different faces of his work. ESCAPE FROM WARSAW (formerly known as ARKONA) presents a style known from his previous recordings. A lot of here dub-based rhythms, electropunk nerve, sometimes even club-oriented structures and samples taken from various sources. All that is mixed in the characteristic psychedelic EFW style. It is a bit of a nod to a listener (perhaps due to the use of instruments and the electroclash conventions of the pastiche). However, lyrically he tells us about important things to a large extent. In simple words which Karol likes to put together, he has included many topics that are food for thought: ecological threat, modern life, loneliness etc. On the one hand, these are protest songs, but, on the other hand, they give a lot of pleasure from listening to them.
The second disc belongs to the duo under the name of Santa Marta / Karol Su/Ka. "Czas Snu". The compositions on it are sonic illustrations to the intriguing poems of Marta Olszewska. Karol's music moves from the electropunk realm towards ambient structures, spatial compositions, much more subtle and intimate.
Originally, these two discs were to be released separately, but combined in one package seemed a perfect complement to each other, just like the Taoist ying-yang.

Karol Su/Ka po wielu latach nieobecności w Zoharum powraca ze swoją muzyką do naszego katalogu. Prezentowana publikacja to dwupłytowy album, ukazujący dwa różne oblicza jego twórczości. ESCAPE FROM WARSAW (niegdyś ARKONA) prezentuje stylistykę, znaną z wcześniejszych nagrań; sporo tutaj dubujących rytmów, elektropunkowego czadu, momentami nawet parkietowych struktur rytmicznych oraz cytatów zaczerpniętych z różnych źródeł, wymieszanych w charakterystycznym dla EFW psychodelicznym sosie. Trochę w tym pozornie puszczonego oka (wynikającego być może z użycia instrumentarium i konwencji electroclashowego pastiżu). Jednak w znacznej mierze traktuje o o rzeczach ważnych. W prostych tekstach, jakie lubi układać Karol, zawarł wiele tematów, które dają do myślenia, o ekologicznym zagrożeniu, o nowoczesnym życiu, o samotności etc. Z jednej strony jest to muzyka zaangażowana, a z drugiej strony dająca wiele przyjemności z samego słuchania.
Drugi krążek należy do duetu sygnowanego jako Santa Marta / Karol Su/Ka „Czas Snu”. Kompozycje na nim zawarte stanowią ilustracje do intrygujących wierszy Marty Olszewskiej. Muzyka Karola przesuwa się z elektropunku w stronę ambientowych struktur, przestrzennych kompozycji, o wiele bardziej subtelnych i intymnych.
Pierwotnie oba te krążki ukazać miały się jako osobne publikacje, jednak zestawione w ten sposób wydały się idealnym uzupełnieniem niczym taoistyczne ying-yang.
