“Werk” returns almost three decades after its recording in a remastered version, supplemented with additional recordings and songs from the mini-album “Re-Werk”. The cult debut of the Łódź band, which skillfully balanced between the worlds of rock and industrial, creating one of the most expressive projects in Polish music of the 90s of the last century.

On their debut album, the young Łódź band led by Maciej Werk plays with emotions. Guitar noise intersects with industrial synthesizers, drum machines with a live rhythm section, and atmospheric singing with frenetic screams. It is truly a collection of songs – although very specific and diverse. Next to the tearing-to-shreds “I Need You” or “War”, there is room for the electronic “G.O.D.” and the trance “Sick”. And for Iggy Pop, who speaks at the end of the album.

Hedone's 1994-95 recordings return in remastered form, supplemented with other recordings from the sessions, unreleased mixes (including "To Madness" prepared by Boris Wilsdorf, court producer of Einsturzende Neubaten), and the 1995 mini-album "Re-Werk". The booklet accompanying the CD includes a short sketch about the recordings, photos and fish.

„Werk” powraca niemal trzy dekady po nagraniu w zremasterowanej wersji, uzupełnionej o nagrania dodatkowe i utwory z minialbumu „Re-Werk”. Kultowy debiut łódzkiej formacji, która zręcznie balansowała pomiędzy światem rocka a industrialu, tworząc jeden z najbardziej wyrazistych projektów w polskiej muzyce lat 90. minionego stulecia.

Na swoim debiutanckim albumie młody łódzki zespół pod wodzą Macieja Werka gra emocjami. Gitarowy hałas krzyżuje z industrialnymi syntezatorami, automaty perkusyjne z żywą sekcją rytmiczną, a nastrojowy śpiew z frenetycznym krzykiem. To naprawdę zbiór piosenek – choć bardzo specyficznych i różnorodnych. Obok rozrywających słuchacza na strzępy „I Need You” czy „War” jest miejsce na elektroniczne „G.O.D.” i transowe „Sick”. I na Iggy’ego Popa, który odzywa się na koniec płyty.

Nagrania Hedone z lat 1994-95 powracają w zremasterowanej formie, uzupełnione o pozostałe nagrania z sesji, niepublikowane miksy (w tym “To Madness” przygotowane przez Borisa Wilsdorfa, nadwornego producenta Einsturzende Neubaten), a także minialbum „Re-Werk” z 1995 roku. W książeczce dołączonej do płyty CD krótki szkic na temat nagrań, zdjęcia i ryby.
