Karolina Cicha and Sw@da created this album using many languages: the language of nature and the language of multicultural Podlasie, the language of emotions, tradition and the contemporary jargon of sampled sounds. The result of the meeting between a leading Polish folk artist and a music producer is an album that brings catharsis. Metaphysical, alternative and electronic, surprising for Cicha fans.

They were united by similar experiences and a sense of their "Podlasieness" and the desire to create music that gives energy to positively experience the world. – The inspiration usually came from Sw@da's instrumental starting ideas based on a drum beat and bass line or a looped sampled instrumental motif – explains Cicha. – I chose a traditional melody belonging to the minority living in the Podlaskie Voivodeship or I wrote my own text and set it to a melody. It turned out that - even though these are very sad times - we both like the style of work in which - like in children - the dominant emotion is joy.

The axis of their search remained the Podlaskie Voivodeship: Białystok, where they grew up, and the villages surrounding it. A city with a huge amount of wooden construction, the capital of the disco-polo trend in the post-Perelian reality. Capitalism awakening in the surrounding villages and towns or the first siding facades covering wooden masterpieces of rural architecture. The atmosphere of holidays at grandma's, the atmosphere of Polish, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian and Tatar villages, where you went for your first sightseeing tours, and then, during your studies, for field research.

This linguistically colorful landscape is present on the album in the form of songs belonging to cultures that have been contributing to the rich cultural mosaic of the region for centuries. There is a lot of roots energy in these musical landscape.......

Muzyka zasilana naturą. SAD Karoliny Cichej i Sw@dy

Ten album Karolina Cicha i Sw@da stworzyli wieloma językami: językiem natury i mową wielokulturowego Podlasia, językiem emocji, tradycji i współczesnym żargonem samplowanych dźwięków. Efektem spotkania czołowej polskiej artystki folkowej i producenta muzycznego jest płyta niosąca oczyszczenie. Metafizyczna, alternatywna i elektroniczna, dla fanów Cichej – zaskakująca.

Połączyły ich podobne doświadczenia i odczuwanie swojej "podlaskości" oraz chęć tworzenia muzyki, która daje energię do pozytywnego przeżywania świata. – Inspiracja wychodziła zwykle od instrumentalnych pomysłów wyjściowych Sw@dy opartych na bicie perkusyjnym i linii basu lub zapętlonym zsamplowanym motywie instrumentalnym – tłumaczy Cicha. – Ja dobierałam melodię tradycyjną należącą do mniejszości zamieszkującej województwo podlaskie lub pisałam swój tekst, który ubierałam w melodię. Okazało się, że – pomimo iż czasy nastały bardzo smutne – oboje lubimy styl pracy, w której – jak u dzieci – dominującą emocją jest radość.

Osią ich poszukiwań pozostało województwo podlaskie: Białystok, w którym wzrastali i wsie, które go otaczały. Miasto z ogromną ilością drewnianego budownictwa, stolica nurtu disco-polo w postperelowskiej rzeczywistości. Budzący się w okolicznych wsiach i miasteczkach kapitalizm czy pierwsze elewacje z sidingu zakrywające drewniane arcydzieła wiejskiej architektury. Klimat wakacji u babci, klimat polskich, białoruskich, ukraińskich, litewskich czy tatarskich wsi, gdzie wyjeżdżało się na pierwsze krajoznawcze wagary, a potem, w czasie studiów, na badania terenowe.

Ten wielobarwny językowo krajobraz jest obecny na płycie w postaci pieśni, należących do kultur, które od wieków współtworzą bogatą mozaikę kulturową regionu. Jest w tych muzycznych pejzażach dużo rootsowej energii, która bierze się z natury. Są tu połamane groove'y i.......
