Founded in 1966, Flamingo helped such popular singers as Hana Zagorová and Věra Špinarova in their first steps. After their departure, Marie Rottrová and Petr Němec began singing with the band - both adaptations of contemporary soul hits and original compositions in this style. Such music also filled their debut album, released in two language versions - Czech (as "Flamingo") and English (as "This Is Our Soul"). This definitive edition collects recordings from both versions and shows Flamingo at his energetic best. The dynamic sound of the band perfectly matches the feisty voices of Rottrova and Nemec. There is no shortage of dance killers ("A Change", "The Weight"), touching ballads ("Ain't No Way", "I've Got Dreams to Remember"), as well as phenomenal instrumental recordings ("Sunny", " Quasimodo's Dream"), which is a performance by Vladimír Figaro on the Hammond organ.

"This Is Our Soul" is released for the first time as a separate release. The material was remastered from the original tapes from the Supraphon archive and supplemented with a booklet with the band's history and photos from the cover session.

Niniejsza definitywna edycja zbiera nagrania z obu wersji i pokazuje Flamingo w swoim najlepszym, pełnym energii wydaniu. Dynamiczne brzmienie zespołu doskonale koresponduje z zadziornymi głosami Rottrovej i Nemca. Nie brakuje tu tanecznych killerów („A Change”, „The Weight”), przejmujących ballad („Ain’t No Way”, „I’ve Got Dreams to Remember”), a także fenomenalnych nagrań instrumentalnych („Sunny”, „Quasimodo’s Dream”), będących popisem Vladimíra Figara na organach Hammonda.
