A trio of legendary troubadours and innovators, trading blows as Tryp Tych Tryo presents a deep and pensive body of work that explores their inner worlds, experiences and perspectives as world-class musicians in a bespoke, conceptual improvisation. Jazz is most personal, is found and expressed in relation to and through one another.

An autumn Friday evening out amongst the industrial edge lands of Warsaw, Poland. Drummer Natcyet Wakili (Nok Cultural Ensemble, Sons of Kemet, Steam Down), and woodwind player Tamar Osborn (Collocutor, Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra) are seeking signs to find Black Kiss Studio.

Once inside, bassist Wojtek Mazolewski (Pink Freud, Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet) welcomes the party, ‘Let’s Go’ and the three musicians get to work creating a connection and body of work that will become Tryp Tych Tryo. With little time for conversation, they communicated through their instruments in an improvised session. “We were recording it in case there was some magic—which it turns out there was”, says Tamar.

Wojtek Mazolewski w towarzystwie międzynarodowych znakomitości! Podczas sesji w Black Kiss Studio na industrialnych obrzeżach Warszawy, mając niewiele czasu na rozmowę, muzycy komunikowali się poprzez swoje instrumenty w improwizowanej sesji i odkryli magiczną moc języka jazzu.
