Five years after their debut, they offer material that develops the themes from "Balance of Decay" - in all directions. Tomasz Gadecki (saxophones), Miłosz Pękala (marimba/percussion) and Iza Izzy Rekowska (vocals) add their two cents.
If we were to list the projects in which all the mentioned musicians were involved, we would get an almost complete history of Polish alternative music of the last quarter of a century. But let's not focus on the past, because...

"We don't have too much time" - we hear in the opening track of the album. "Czas goni" - in the last one. There is something to it. The element of this album is rush, impatience bordering on nervousness. However, it would be good if the listener had a lot of time, because "Pícaros" is worth spending long hours. This is material that can be listened to differently every time, delving into it layer by layer.

To start - contact with pure energy is enough, without disassembling the sound into its components, just as you don't analyze the composition of water when a wave capsizes your boat. Later, the legs will work out the rhythmic structures of this music themselves, and since it is very dense and full of sharp turns, it will take a moment for the brain to catch up. The next stage is to find and identify the inspirations and references from which JAVVA builds its musical identity. Bydgoszcz born from Mózg, the whimsy of Lado ABC – these are the foundations. Mianem picaros w języku hiszpańskim oznacza się kanciarzy. Ale JAVVA nie oszukuje – wszystko tu jest żywe, prawdziwe, grane prosto z łapy i prosto z serca.

"Nie mamy zbyt wiele czasu" – słyszymy w utworze otwierającym album. "Czas goni" – w ostatnim. Coś jest na rzeczy. Żywiołem tej płyty jest pośpiech, niecierpliwość granicząca z nerwowością. Dobrze byłoby jednak, gdyby słuchacz miał czasu niemało, bo "Pícaros" warto poświęcić długie godziny. To materiał, którego można słuchać za każdym razem inaczej, zagłębiając się w niego warstwa po warstwie.

Na początek – wystarczy kontakt z czystą energią, bez rozbierania dźwięku na czynniki pierwsze, tak jak nie analizuje się składu wody, kiedy fala przewraca twoją łódkę. Później nogi same rozpracują struktury rytmiczne tej muzyki, a że jest bardzo gęsto i pełno tu ostrych zakrętów, minie chwila zanim nadąży mózg. Kolejny etap to odnajdywanie i identyfikowanie inspiracji oraz odniesień, z których JAVVA buduje swoją muzyczną tożsamość. Bydgoszcz zrodzona z Mózgu, swawola Lado ABC – to fundamenty. Ale usłyszycie też math rocka i posthardcore’owe dziedzictwo z Ameryki, gdzieś migną gitary z Sahary, w innym miejscu harmonie zna.......
