Dialogues/Prayers is a record of compositions considered by the members of Duo Sopot (Anna Sawicka – cello, Elżbieta Rosińska – accordion) to be important in their over thirty years of artistic achievements. The album contains works dedicated to them as well as transcriptions and adaptations from instruments related to the accordion, such as the organ or harmonium, and even a string orchestra. They are connected by the element of the sacred – sometimes expressed in the title of the composition or only veiled, but clearly perceptible. The chamber idea of ​​musical dialogue is reflected especially in the latest compositions, written in the 20th and early 21st centuries.

Duo Sopot is formed by graduates of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, residents of the Sopot health resort: Anna Sawicka – concertmaster of the cello group of the Baltic Opera Orchestra in Gdańsk and Elżbieta Rosińska – professor at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, promoter of accordion music.

Dialogues/Prayers (Dialogi/modlitwy) stanowią zapis kompozycji uważanych przez członkinie Duo Sopot (Anna Sawicka – wiolonczela, Elżbieta Rosińska – akordeon) za istotne w ich ponad trzydziestoletnim dorobku artystycznym. Album zawiera dzieła im dedykowane oraz transkrypcje i adaptacje z instrumentów pokrewnych akordeonowi jak organy czy fisharmonia, a nawet orkiestry smyczkowej. Łączy je pierwiastek sacrum – czasem wyrażony w tytule kompozycji lub tylko zawoalowany, lecz wyraźnie wyczuwalny. Kameralna idea muzycznego dialogu znajduje odzwierciedlenie szczególnie w kompozycjach najnowszych, pisanych w XX i na początku XXI wieku.

Duo Sopot tworzą absolwentki Akademii Muzycznej w Gdańsku, mieszkanki uzdrowiska Sopot: Anna Sawicka – koncertmistrz grupy wiolonczel orkiestry Opery Bałtyckiej w Gdańsku i Elżbieta Rosińska – profesor Akademii Muzycznej w Gdańsku, propagatorka muzyki akordeonowej.
