Mixed and mastered by Giulio Ragno Favero at Lignum Studio, Padova, Italy, A RESTING PLACE FOR STRANGERS is an album launched quickly, completely and thoroughly within 72 hours: all instrumental parts at La Sauna Recording Studio, near Varese, Italy, and all vocals at Monte Vallier’s Ruminator Audio, San Francisco, USA.
The album’s nine compositions are an exorcism of sonic fury and bad vibes and bounce resolutely along with the purgatorial poetry of Eugene Robinson, whose vocals – part urgent whisper, all dark noise and drang – don’t so much recall the ‘90s heyday of Noise Rock but inhabit a very real space of existential dread and involuntary death at the hands of those dedicated to the proposition “the meek shall inherit the earth.”
A RESTING PLACE FOR STRANGERS, a confession, a suicide note, a threat is a musical conversation that leaves very little said post-facto. With a guest vocal and cover photo by Polish Chanteuse Kasia Meow, A RESTING PLACE FOR STRANGERS, is a disquieting soundtrack for times best forgotten but that in all likelihood we’ll never forget.
