Four crucial albums of Einstürzende Neubauten, Zeichnungen des Patienten OT, Halber Mensch, Fünf auf der oben offenen Richterskala, and Haus der Lüge are being re-released.

The key differences between the re-released versions and the previous releases are as follows:
The re-releases are authorized by the band, and when you buy the re-released albums the band actually receives money for them, as opposed to the previous release by Some Bizarre and distributors it has licensed to, which has never paid Einstürzende Neubauten any money for these albums.
The re-releases have been digitally remastered for CD (by Blixa Bargeld and Alexander Hacke) for the very first time, unlike the previous release which was only mastered for vinyl and therefore the CDs do not accurately present the music as it is designed to be heard.
There are bonus related tracks included with each CD, which were not on the original vinyl releases, and possibly also not on the CDs that were made from the original vinyls. These related tracks were recorded at about the same time and in the same spirit as the CDs they have been added to, and there is a 30 second pause between the original album and the related tracks when they are played.
The cover art and liner notes have been extensively re-worked so that they are now specificly designed for the CD format (instead of being just shrunken down from a vinyl album size, resulting in unreadable print), and many mistakes that were made at the original printing (for example, the incorrect cover for Fünf auf der oben offenen Richterskala) have been corrected. Each CD is now packaged as a digipak with a 16 page booklet.

EINSTUERZENDE NEUBAUTEN, bez wątpienia jeden z najważniejszych zespołów w historii muzyki rockowej, uznawany za prekursora industrialu, postanowił sam we własnej firmie Potomak (a nie w Mute, jak poprzednich kilka tytułów) wydać ponownie cztery wczesne albumy (wszystkie jeszcze z lat 80-tych), które od dłuższego już czasu nie były dostępne. Zespól twierdzi poza tym, że to pierwsze naprawdę legalne wydania - ponoć z tych wydanych przez Some Bizarre i z ich licencji dla innych labeli nie zapłacono muzykom do tej pory ani grosza...

Wszystkie 4 tytuły wydano w wersji CD w estetycznych digipakach z 16-stronicowymi książeczkami, a muzycznie bogatsze są od wcześniejszych wersji o utwory bonusowe z singli, remixy lub też całkowicie niepubllikowane. Materiał został cyfrowo zremasteryzowany przez Blixę Bargelda i Alexandra Hacke. Dostępne będą także nowe wersje winylowe tych płyt...
