The Skatalites specjalnie przedstawiać nie trzeba. Jest to istniejąca od 1964 roku (!) jamajska grupa muzyczna, założona przez dziewięcioro instrumentalistów. Muzyków zaangażował Clement "Sir Coxsone" Dodd jako muzyków sesyjnych w Studio One. The Skatalites stali się prekursorami muzyki ska i najsłynniejszym zespołem rasta obok The Wailers i Boba Marleya.

Album "Walk With Me" nagrany został jeszcze w 2011 r., jego inicjatorem był bebniarz Lloyd Knibb, który niestety zmarł niedługo po nagraniu płyty.

WALK WITH ME presents that last recordings done by original drummer Lloyd Knibb who passed away shortly before this album saw release. The 11 tracks on this album are a tribute to all the members who have passed on over the years and is another in long line of outstanding collections from the grandfathers of Reggae and all Jamaican music.

The Skatalites began performing in Jamaica in May 1964. The group was so hot that their first rehearsal became a show.
