Vas Deferens Organization is a musical collective hailing from Dallas which was founded by Matt Castille in tandem with Jason Cohen, Barbara Cohen, Craig Carlton, Breck Outland and occasionally Reagen Boone in 1994, with VDO’s other original principal member Eric Lumbleau having joined up with Matt in 1995 as these other artists were all on their way out of the band. For over decade and a half, ever since VDO’s inception, Matt, Eric and co. have put out a countless number of albums and collaborations which cover a vast array of musical dimensions – from experimental electronic works in the form of audio collage to efforts inspired by jazz-rock, ethnic music, raga, exotica, minimalism, dadaism, futurism, and krautrock.

Apart from his work as a recording artist, Matt Castille was also responsible for producing one of the most interesting and, sadly, relatively obscure albums of post-shoegaze neo-psychedelia – the eclectic Cruising In The Neon Glories Of The New American Night (1996) by Mazinga Phaser. Other notable VDO productions include: J. Bone Cro’s For Cryin’ Out Loud (1996) and Late Nite Songs For Truckers And Fuckers (1996), Ohm’s krautrock-inspired tour de force O2 (1997), and Yeti’s The Man With The Lamp (recorded in 2000, released in 2006).

Jeden z najlepszych albumów w swoim gatunku, na którym za pomocą eksperymentów brzmieniowych w studio przetwarzane są wpływy Faust, Can, funku, elektroniki, breakbeatu i dadaistycznego humoru w szalonych, wielowarstwowych suitach - esencjach postrocka.
Album został zremasterowany w 2011 roku, zawiera też dodatkowy utwór.




Vas Deferens Organization to pochodzący z Dallas muzyczny kolektyw założony w roku 1994 przez Matta Castille, wspólnie z Jasonem Cohenem, Barbarą Cohen, Craigiem Carltonem, Breckiem Outlandem i (okazjonalnym członkiem) Reagenem Boone. Rok później do Matta dołączył Eric Lumbleau, który, zastępując wymienionych artystów, stał się głównym członkiem zespołu. Przez ponad półtorej dekady, które dzieli powstanie VDO do chwili obecnej, Matt, Eric i spółka wydali niezliczoną ilość albumów i kolaboracji o niezwykle szerokim stylistycznym spektrum: od eksperymentalnych dzieł elektronicznych w formie kolażu po dokonania inspirowane jazzrockiem, muzyką etniczną, ragą, egzotyką, minimalizmem, dadaizmem, futuryzmem czy krautrockiem.
