STAGE OF UNITY (PL)

Stage of Unity The band was established in 1988 in Wroclaw. From the very first of their shows, that took place at Reggae by the Warta River Festival , the audience received them with applause . This active contact with fans remains one of their undeniable assets to this day. From then, even though they are still strongly rooted in reggae, the band have gone through numerous transformations, which resulted in enrichment of their sound. What they play is blend of reaggae, blues riffs, rock beat with blazing guitar solos and dub-tinged bass.
Despite lack of wide promotion, Stage of Unity gathered considerable fanbase and popularity all across Poland. The songs "War In a Babylon", "Good Connection" or "Letter from St. Paul" became their anthems. The band was a part of many high-profile festivals in Poland: The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy), specially two first editions of Przystanek Woodstock Festival in Czymanowo at Żarnowieckie Lake in 1995 and in Szczecin Dąbie in 1996, Africa is Hungry (2009), Reggae nad Warta (1993) (2009), Róbreggae (Do the Reggae Festival), Winter Reagge (2009), Reggae na Piaskach (Reggae on Sands 2008), Picnic Reggae, One Love Fest, Ostróda Reggae Festiwal 2008, and many other.
Stage of Unity got reactivated in September 2008. They play now strongly guitar, traditional roots reggae with tangible twist towards dub music.
Their new realease is due for completion and release soon.

Lion Stage Records prezentuje kompilację dwóch długo oczekiwanych krążków kultowego zespołu Stage of Unity pod nazwą „The Rainbow Power". W skład kompilacji wchodzą utwory z płyt "Jah Bring I" i "Good Connection", które zostały zarejestrowane na początku lat dziewięćdziesiątych i ukazały się dotąd jedynie na kasetach magnetofonowych. Teraz zostały wskrzeszone w nowym cyfrowym wcieleniu.

Wrocławskie Stage of Unity to muzyczny fenomen, zajmujący w polskim reggae miejsce obok takich składów jak Bakshish i Izrael. Bujające, mocno gitarowe roots reggae w wykonaniu Stage of Unity uformowało muzycznie całe pokolenie fanów i twórców polskiego reggae. Jamajski wokal Kristafari wsparty rasową wibracją sekcji rytmicznej i uzdrawiającym bębnieniem Masaja tworzą zahaczające o dubowe rejony kompozycje, pełne młodego i szczerego ognia. Legendarne granie Unity of Stage jest wciąż żywe wśród fanów, a utwory takie jak "War in a Babylon", "Good Connection", czy "List do św. Pawła" to dla wielu najlepsze karty polskiej sceny reggae. Albumy "Jah Bring I" i "Good Connection" zostały na nowo zmasterowane, a na płycie "Good Connection" znajdzie się siedem niepublikowanych dotąd utworów.
