Swego czasu rozpadła się znakomita amerykańska grupa Three Mile Pilot w wyniku czego powstały dwa inne genialne zespoły. Pierwszy z nich nosi nazwę Black Heart Procession i także publikuje w ramach Touch and Go, drugi zaś zespół to nasi bohaterowie z Pinback. O ile Black Heart Procession penetrują melancholijne tereny, Pinback mimo iż w ich muzyce dawka smutku i nostalgi jest także odczuwalna tworzą swój przekaz bardziej jasnym i pełnym nadziei. To indie popowe granie z pięknymi melodiami, mimo że refleksyjne, nie pozbawione dynamiki. To obecnie zdecydowanie lepsza formacja od operujących w podobnych klimatach a ostatnio poważnie zagubionych Death Cab For Cutie. Tym bardziej że Pinback z płyty na płytę piszą piosenki coraz doskonalsze. Potwierdzeniem tych słów jest najnowszy materiał, “Autumn Of The Seraphs”

Around here, we embrace the mystery of life � coyotes and all. So allow us to present this new record from San Diego's finest, Pinback. Comprised of two core members, the prolific Armistead Burwell Smith IV (Zach) and the inexhaustible Rob Crow, the band began in 1998 when the guys took a break from their various other projects (3 Mile Pilot for Zach and Thingy and Heavy Vegetable for Rob). Autumn of the Seraphs is Pinback's fourth full-length record, and second on Touch and Go.
2004's Summer in Abaddon hit the scene like high tide gliding in, whirling around listeners, full of beautiful intensity. It found its place in the hearts of a crazy amount of people worldwide following the succes.......
