Adoran is a Canadian duo of Aidan Baker (of Nadja, B/B/S/, Caudal, etc.) on drums and Dorian Williamson (of Northumbria, Holoscene) on bass. Making largely improvisational music, the project explores heavy and atmospheric sounds, combining elements of doom and sludge with experimental and avant-garde. Active sporadically since 2008, the project released their self-titled debut album in 2013 with the Belgian label Consouling Sounds.
An album of bass & drums dronesludge recorded June 2012 at Polyphasic Studios in Toronto. Mastered by James Plotkin.

Aidan Baker - drums
Dorian Williamson - bass
“Aidan Baker also turns up as half of Adoran, with Dorian Williamson of Northumbria and Holoscene on bass. This time, Baker takes the drummer’s seat, and pounds out the doomy rhythms with an intensity which easily matches that of his guitar playing … It’s their ability to turn the dynamics on a proverbial sixpence … which keeps what Adoran are doing at the forefront of the listener’s attention; and with this music, it’s not really worth having it as background – it demands immersion, or nothing at all.”
“[C]onfronts the conventions of what most consider music with droned-out, hypnotic instrumental doomgaze.”
“Bleak, apocalyptic drone metal, harsh and sludgy darkness … Black-hole-heavy guitars swirl and thud, building a sick tension that’s never released but constantly expanded. This duo consists of legendary dronemaster Aidan Baker (Nadja, countless other projects) on drums and Dorian Williamson (Northumbria, Hollowscene) on bass. Fans of Godflesh, Sujo, Khanate, Sunn O))) / Earth will adore this.”
