The Nu Band is a sparkling, dynamic group of pros - all of whom lead a number of groups, play and record with a variety of world-class musicians, and compose.

The Nu Band was organized in 1999 by Lou Grassi and Roy Campbell. For fourteen years, six widely acclaimed cds, six European tours, and several U.S. tours the band functioned as a co-operative democratically run organization with the same personnel at all times.

Due to the untimely death of Roy Campbell in January 2014 and the fact that we had a fully booked tour for March, 2014 it became necessary to find a replacement for our beloved colleague Roy.
It was our good fortune that trumpet master Thomas Heberer was able to make himself available.

The Cosmological Constant (In Memory of Roy Campbell, Jr.) scheduled for release on Not Two Records in April, 2015.
