FOR MORE THAN TWO YEARS THE 100 °C BAND HAVE CONCENTRATED ON COMPOSING NEW SONGS
FOR THEIR DOUBLE ALBUM BRANT ROCK. THE RESULT OF THEIR EFFORTS HAS BEEN PUBLICLY KNOWN SINCE 17 APRIL. THE THIRD ALBUM OF 100 °C ARRIVED TO STORES. THE BAND FROM MARIÁNSKÉ LÁZNĚ, WHICH WON THE FIRST YEAR OF COCA COLA POPSTAR COMPETITION, HAS MARKED A SUBSTANTIAL TRANSITION IN ITS WORK. THE “NEW 100 °C” PLAY ROCK’N’ROLL FOR THE 21ST CENTURY. BRANT ROCK MEANS A DARING STEP AMONG EUROPEAN PROGRESSIVE BANDS. THE 14-TRACK ALBUM IS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ANOTHER CD, CONTAINING REMIX OF OLDER COMPOSITIONS OF THE BAND BY RENOWNED CZECH AND INTERNATIONAL PRODUCERS. THE PUBLISHER OF THE ALBUM IS BRNO LABEL INDIES SCOPE RECORDS. THE PRODUCER IS ECSON WALDES, HOLDER OF ANDĚL AWARD IN THE CATEGORY DANCE A HIP-HOP IN 2004.
They definitely do not object to progress. 100 °C have gone through a complete transformation since the launch of their last album. The frontman of the band Jakub “Joshua” Johánek has chiseled technique of singing and together with bass guitar player Ondra „Mojjo“ Urbanec has created compositions spiked with electronics and rock’n’roll. 100 °C even founded their own studio for the sake of Brant Rock. The band decided to part with parent Sony BMG and to join Indies Records. Thus they got the opportunity to try to cross the borders of the Czech Republic. Therefore the band decided to cooperate with several guests on the lyrics. New names not only enriched the lyrics of 100 °C but also the sound itself. “For instance an American singer MC Turner sang a duet with me in the song Elvis,” said the frontman Jakub “Joshua” Johánek. „Sabina Feldmanová contributed with her singing to the tender song Am I Really?
