The complete Sonny Rollins concert at the third Montreal Jazz Festival, which was one of his rare performances with star drummer Jack DeJohnette. The repertoire features Rollins' typical mix of standards, original tunes and the title track from Rollins' soundtrack to the 1966 movie "Alfie".

This rarely heard performance presents the great Sonny Rollins at his best at the third Montreal Jazz Festival in 1982. This is the second existing testimony of Sonny Rollins' collaborations with Jack DeJohnette. Their only previous recordings together consist of a studio album made a decade earlier (on July 14, 1972), titled Next Album. However, DeJohnette would only contribute on two tracks from the LP. Right after their performance in Montreal, however, Rollins and DeJohnette would make their first complete LP together. It was recorded on August 17-22, 1982, and released under the title Reel Life. Following this, they would collaborate on a number of projects, ending with the 2000 album This Is What I Do. The program for the Montreal performance includes two tunes from the No Problem LP: "Penny Saved", composed by the band's guitarist Bobby Broom, and "Here You Come Again", by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. No other versions of these two tunes by Rollins exist outside of these live and studio recordings.
