Lusty and lethal, Bad Cop comes at you like a drunken frat boy who won’t take no for an answer. The difference is that you’ll be sending them a thank you letter the next day.
Adam Moult (vocals), Alex Hartness (guitar) & Kharl Merkley (drums) have built a guttural wall of sound that penetrates in a way that could only have been born in the dirty south. They play it hard and tight, and they might be young but they're experienced; these four kids from Nashville are all under 21 but have played in bands since they were twelve and spent a lifetime listening to bands like Joy Division, The Doors and MC5. In the little over a year they've been together, they've already played with larger acts like Jemina Pearl (ex-Be Your Own Pet), The Slits and JEFF The Brotherhood, have already traveled the East Coast twice over and ventured into the Midwest and have been nominated The Deli Magazine's Band of the Month in Nashville.
Bad Cop's experience doesn't end at their musical accomplishments; behind their feisty brand of psychedelic punk lies a hearty tale of love, self-destruction, sex and despair. Bad Cop seduce you with their brutal honesty and their unflinching willingness to speak the truth, no matter how dangerous it may be. You can hear, see and feel Bad Cop accost you with veracity and sense of carnal danger live; frontman Adam Moult mixes the intensity of Darby Crash with the primitive sexuality of Jim Morrison.
Both onstage and through your speakers, Bad Cop cannot be ignored. They just don't fuck around.
