Jeff Lynne has always preferred the creative experience of his natural environment—the recording studio. Listening back to the live performances gathered here, however, one is reminded that regardless of his thoughts of life on the road, Lynne remains a compelling performer who's always figured out ways to bring his distinctive widescreen musical universe to life onstage when he needed to. Taken from a PBS special recorded at Los Angeles’ CBS Television City, Electric Light Orchestra Live offers fans four tracks that weren’t on what became the ZOOM DVD as well as two new, unreleased studio tracks, “Out of Luck” and “Cold Feet.”
