In 1992 it had been six years since Madness split, and during those six years the musical landscape had changed to embrace Madchester (no relation), acid house and the U.S. grunge-rock explosion.
When a plan was hatched for a reunion, nobody could predict exactly what would happen or how it would be received. They needn’t have worried: when over 70,000 people turned up to watch the band over a weekend in August, Madness’s place in the canon of Great British Bands was assured and Madstock - as it would later become known - was born.
This DVD and CD package documents the events of one magical weekend in August 1992, when Madness reunited and literally rocked London’s Finsbury Park to its very core.
