Chilly GONZALES proudly presents his 3rd album, the Baroque meets Broadway "PRESIDENTIAL SUITE". His first album on Kitty-Yo "GONZALES UBER ALLES" was one of the most critically acclaimed album releases of 2000 and the 2nd one "THE ENTERTAINIST" brought him the respect of the hip hop people. Collaborations and tours with PEACHES gave them together the (in)famous name of Bonnie&Clyde of Prankster Rap for a while. When we last heard from Gonzo, he was running for the presidency of the Berlin underground... This, then, is the victory party, an acceptance speech packed with Groucho-esque raps. There are self-help anthems ("You Snooze, You Lose", "Decisions"), sarcastic love songs ("Shameless Eyes", "Starlight"), and odes to the popularity contest ("Bottom of the Pops", "Salieri Serenade"). Of course, the melodies are sad and catchy, most notably on 3 instrumentals reminiscent of ?GONZALES UBER ALLES?. Collaborators on "PRESIDENTIAL SUITE" include (again) PEACHES, on the soul-pop duet "The Joy of Thinking", TAYLOR SAVVY and Max Turner, and Austrian crooner LOUIE AUSTEN. Written and produced by Chilly himself, "Presidential Suite" is an album that wants to be loved - don't disappoint it.
