Jedna z najmroczniejszych i najcięższych płyt w dorobku Grails. "Doomsdayer’s Holiday" nagrywana była przez 18 miesięcy i przynosi solidny ładunek piekielnego bluesa, avant-metalu i psychodelii z maczanymi w smole riffami. Duża w tym zasługa inżynierów od dźwięku, którzy realizowali album: związanego z grupą Faust, Stevena Wray Lobdella i producenta Earth/Sunn 0))) Randalla Dunna.
W muzyce Grails słychać inspiracje europejskim kryminałem lat 70', kosmicznym free-jazzem i psychodelicznym folk-metalem. Przy tworzeniu materiału na "Doomsdayer's Holiday" udział wziął legendarny Alan Bishop z Sun City Girls (wokal w "Predestination Blues"). Prawdziwy muzyczny walec.
