Holenderski trębacz Eric Vloeimans jest jednym z liderów holenderskiej sceny jazzowej. Pierwszą miłością urodzonego w 1963 roku Holendra była muzyka klasyczna, jako student Rotterdam Academy of Music dał się poznać jako obiecujący interpretator muzyki klasycznej, jednak flirt z jazzem okazał się silniejszy i w 1988 roku przenosi się do USA, gdzie rozpoczyna studia w New York University pod okiem samego Donalda Byrda.
Dość szybko trafia do big-bandu Mercera Ellingtona, po tym przychodzi czas na wsółpracę z muzykami tej miary co John Taylor, Marc Johnson, Peter Erskine, The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Jasper van 't Hof, Han Bennink, Charlie Mariano, Nguyen Le, Jimmy Haslip, Jarmo Savolainen, Philippe Catherine, Joey Baron, Lars Danielsson, Markku Ounaskari, Theo Jörgensmann czy Michael Moore.
Muzyk nie boi się nowych brzmień, jego nagrania z Norwegiem Bugge Wesseltoftem czy Holendrem Michelem Banabila w projekcie 'Spherics' to arcyciekawe pozycje dla fanów new jazzu, ambientu, najbardziej rozlanych, przestrzennych produkcji IDM, ale i postindustrialnych tchnień.
