Last year, JOMF signed to the influential UK label FIRE RECORDS, who issued this incredible live recording.

Recorded live in the studios of VPRO Radio in Amsterdam last year, ‘THE BLOOD OF LIFE’ contains two completely new versions of JOMF classics, ‘HEY! MR. SKY’, and ‘THE GRAVE’, as well as a reworking of last year’s ‘VALLEY OF FIRE’, all produced in a very minimal but powerful style. In addition, the record also features a traditional ballad ‘THE LOST JIMMY WALEN’, and a brand new track, ‘THE BLOOD OF LIFE’, which is a ground breaking piece of new music for the band and marks a new direction for them.

‘The BLOOD OF LIFE’ will be released as a gatefold 12” and 6 panel digipack CD. JOMF are hard at work recording a brand new studio release for FIRE, scheduled for a Feb 2009 release. Titled ‘BALLADS OF THE REVOLUTION’ many of the album’s songs will be performed live on their upcoming European Tour.
