Znów zbliża się Boże Narodzenie, ale któż z nas nie tęskni do bożonarodzeniowego nastroju dużo dłużej niż trwają Święta? Albumów, których zadaniem jest przywołać magię tego okresu pojawia się każdego roku bez liku. Ulrik to muzyk świetnie wykształcony - urodził się w 1965 roku i edukację są rozpoczął w bardzo młodym wieku. Jest absolwentem prestiżowej Berklee College of Music w Bostonie w klasie saksofonu, a od roku 1986 jest aktywny w duńskim środowisku jazzowym - początkowo jako sideman wspierał zespoły Nikolaja Bentzona i Nielsa Lan Doky, od 1992 współpracuje z Marylin Mazur w ramach jej projektu Future Song, a wkrótce potem błysnął także jako lider własnych formacji. Wśród jego partnerów wymienić należy Michaela Ruffa, Caecilie Norby, Joey'a Barona, Jeffa Ballarda, Marca Johnsona, Eliane Elias, Gary'ego' Peacock, Mino Cinelu, Adama Nussbauma, Larsa Janssona, Johna Scofielda, Petera Erskine'a czy Steve'a Swallowa.

Albumy świąteczne mają długą tradycję: Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, jeszcze i wielu, wielu innych sięgali po piosenki związane z tym szczególnym okresem.
