Gaap Kvlt, a mysterious figure in the hood, returns to Zoharum. The second album of the project entitled "Jinn", released less than two years after the debut "Void", is the first full-length album Gaap Kvlt released on our label, although our cooperation started in 2015 on the occasion of the first volume of the 3-way split series "Circuit Intégré".

On "Jinn" Gaap Kvlt plunges in a little different territory than on its previous recordings. It is an exit from the depths of a dark cave into the sun-baked Moroccan deserts, hot during the day, very cold at night. The album consiste of 9 compositions. The music there is electronics decorated with an oriental feel to it, slightly more modest than the Moorish mosaic that adorns the album cover. There is no shortage of field recordings and samples from northern Africa, slow, gliding rhythms and drones reminding of sandy, desert wind.

”Jinn” is housed in a 3-panel ecopak sleeve and is strictly limited to 300 copies. The cover was designed by Tomek Mirt. It was mastered by Paweł Bartnik [heavyweight.pro]. The whole production process was overseen by Michał Porwet.

Gaap Kvlt, tajemnicza postać w kapturze, powraca do Zoharum. Drugi album projektu ”Djinn”, wydany niespełna dwa lata po debiutanckim ”Void”, to pierwszy pełnowymiarowy krążek Gaap Kvlt wydany w naszych barwach, choć nasza współpraca zaczęła się w 2015 przy okazji pierwszej odsłony trzyczęściowego splitu ”Circuit Intégré”.
Na ”Jinn” Gaap Kvlt zapuścił się w nieco odmienne od wcześniejszych nagrań rejony. To wyjście z otchłani mrocznej jaskini w spieczone słońcem marokańskie pustynie, gorące za dnia, bardzo zimne w nocy. Na album składa się 9 kompozycji. Muzyka tam zawarta to elektronika ozdobiona orientalnymi akcentami, nieco bardziej oszczędna niż mozaika mauretańska zdobiąca okładkę płyty. Nie brakuje tu nagrań terenowych i sampli z północnej Afryki, wolnych, sunących rytmów oraz dronów przypominających piaszczysty, pustynny wiatr.
Album ”Jinn” został wydany w 3-panelowym ecopaku w ściśle limitowanym nakładzie 300 szt. Za okładkę odpowiada Tomek Mirt. Masteringiem zajął się Paweł Bartnik [heavyweight.pro].
