The final result is not folklore that would refer to one geographical culture but more the mixture that may be found in different big cities where people from the whole world meet.

“Skupina se jmenuje Madera (znamená to španělsky ‚dřevo‘, ale přeneseně i potenciál člověka, nebo to, co dává člověku charakter). Hrají v ní: Tadeáš Mesany (kontrabas), Jana Modráčková (bicí), Dudu Gerais (pandeiro, cajón, perkuse), Ivana Pokorná (harfa), Julián Teubal a další (kvartet, flétnista).“



„Co se týče popisu té hudby, tak já bych popsal to, co děláme jako městský (urban) folk. I když čerpáme z podobných zdrojů jako třeba Silvio Rodríguez (nueva cancion, nueva trova), Tom Waits, Gilberto Gil (a nejenom bossanova), Thomas Fersen (chanson francaise) nebo Zuzana Navarová. Konečný výsledek není folklór, který by odkazoval na jednu geografickou kulturu, ale spíš na tu směs, kterou se dá najít v různých velkoměstech, kde se setkávají lidé z celého světa.“ …
