In 2024, it was 50 years since the recording of one of the most famous records of Czechoslovak culture, Egon Bondy's Happy Hearts Cub Banned, began at Houska Castle. This was also the reason for the recording to be revived in concert form, and the PPU EGON BODNY TOUR 2024 ensemble was created, which, under the leadership of the long-time bandleader Josef Janíček, set off on a concert tour, where not only songs from "Egon Bondy" were performed, but actually a cross-section of the entire work of Plastic People, starting with Bondy and ending with Půlnoční muří. Janíček (keyboards, vocals) was joined by Jan Brabec (drums, vocals), Vladimír Dědek (trombone), Tomáš Schilla (cello, vocals) and Ivan Bierhanzl (bass guitar), i.e. musicians who played directly with Mejla in Plastic People in some of the "pre-revolutionary" periods. With this line-up, the band returned to its roots, where the guitar was absent, and in addition, they chose songs that represent the composer genius Mejla Hlavsa in an unprecedented breadth. The musicians' excellent performances finally let Hlavsa's songs sound the way he himself once imagined them.
Recorded by Ondřej Ježek in Louny and mastered at the Jámor studio, the DVD from the concert at Houska Castle was shot with five cameras and then directed and edited by director Karel Kaliban, the 24-page booklet contains photos from all the concerts of the tour.

V roce 2024 tomu bylo 50 let, co se na hradě Houska začala nahrávat jedna z nejslavnějších desek československé kultury, Egon Bondy´s Happy Hearts Cub Banned. To bylo i důvodem k tomu, aby se nahrávka oživila v koncertní podobě, i vznikl tedy soubor PPU EGON BODNY TOUR 2024, který se pod vedením odvěkého kapelníka Josefa Janíčka vydal na koncertní turné, kde zazněly nejen písně z „Egona Bondyho", ale vlastně průřez
celou tvorbou Plastiků, Bondym počínaje a Půlnoční myší konče. Janíčka (klávesy, zpěv) doplnili Jan Brabec (bicí, zpěv), Vladimír Dědek (trombon), Tomáš Schilla (violoncello, zpěv) a Ivan Bierhanzl (basová kytara), čili muzikanti, kteří v některém z „předrevolučních" období s Mejlou v Plastic People přímo hráli. Kapela se touto sestavou navrátila ke svým kořenům, kde absentovala kytara a navíc vybrala skladby, které představují skladatelského génia Mejlu Hlavsu v nevídané šíři. Vynikající výkony hudebníků konečně nechávají Hlavsovy skladby zaznít tak, jak si je sám kdysi představoval.
Ondřejem Ježkem nahráno v Lounech a zmasterováno ve studiu Jámor, DVD z koncertu na hradě Houska natočil na pět kamer a a posléze zrežíroval a sestříhal režisér Karel Kaliban, 24 stránkový booklet obsahuje fotografie ze všech koncertů turné.
