SBB studio recordings from August 1975. Aggressive bass guitar marches, frenetic guitar solos and the steady drum pulse marked a new horizon in Polish rock music. And they still sound fresh.
In August 1975, SBB recorded a number of extensive compositions in the Polish Radio studio in Gdańsk, which recalled the spirit of their concerts at that time. Long-winded solo parts, extraordinary expression and creating a hypnotic, psychedelic mood were the trio's hallmarks at that time. The title track "FOS" (here expanded to a quarter of an hour) and the subtle "Xeni" performed at concerts still captivate us with their unusual sound and interesting harmonic solutions.
"FOS" was released on vinyl in 2019 as one of four releases with a selection of the band's studio recordings from the 1970s. The materials, previously available on other CD editions (now sold out), appeared for the first time in a thematically coherent format. , sound and style albums. Now the releases are back in CD format, enriched with additional recordings from the same sessions (all remastered from the original tapes) and a booklet with a short text about the music.
Studyjne nagrania SBB z sierpnia 1975 roku. Agresywne pochody gitary basowej, frenetyczne solówki gitary i trzymający całość w ryzach puls perkusji wyznaczały nowy horyzont w polskiej muzyce rockowej. I wciąż brzmią świeżo.
Teraz wydawnictwa powracają w formacie płyt CD, wzbogacone o dodatkowe nagrania z tych samych sesji (całość zremasterowana z oryginalnych taśm) i książeczkę z krótkim tekstem na temat muzyki.
