They Didn't Change a Chord

The fifth incarnation of Pure Phase Ensemble decided not to change a chord throughout the entire concert. It might seem like it would be boring, but it wasn't.

Although most of the songs are unhurried and drawn-out, the band does this consciously: they endlessly repeat a single chord (One Chord), believing it has a healing effect, as Hugo Race sings about.

Some statistics:
PPE5 is the longest album in their discography to date. Almost 80 minutes!
The first edition to feature drums (Adrian Kondratowicz) and percussion (Michał Peschke). The rhythm section was wonderfully complemented by Przemysław Bartoś, with his distinctive, short-sounding bass, as if straight from Motown Records (no sluggishness).
The first edition to feature a female horn player (Marta Tykarska).
The first edition to feature all the songs seamlessly. There are no breaks. A constant E or G phase plays in the background (previously generated by 7phases).
The first album the producer (Karol Schwarz) recommends listening to, not from track 1, but from track 4!***

With this long album, the musicians of PPE5 encourage us to slow down our frantic pace of life. However, although it may seem like they haven't changed a chord (key) for the entire 80 minutes, they actually did so twice!

In summary: Hugo Race brilliantly led the band through an ocean of pure phase waveforms.

They did not change a chord

Piąte wcielenie Pure Phase Ensemble postawiło nie zmieniać akordu przez cały koncert. Wydawałoby się, że powieje nudą ale nic z tych rzeczy.

Co prawda większość utworów to niespieszne i rozwlekłe formy ale zespół robi to świadomie: powtarza w nieskończoność jeden akord (One Chord) wierząc, że ma to działanie uzdrawiające, o czym śpiewa Hugo Race.

Trochę statystyk:
PPE5 to najdłuższa płyta w dotychczasowej dyskografii. Prawie 80 minut!
Pierwsza edycja, w której oprócz perkusji (Adrian Kondratowicz) były również perkusjonalia (Michał Peschke). Sekcję rytmiczną wspaniale dopełniał Przemysław Bartoś, ze swoim charakterystycznym, krótko brzmiącym basem, jakby żywcem wziętym z Motown Records (nie ma zamulania).
Pierwsza edycja z kobietą w sekcji dętej (Marta Tykarska).
Pierwsza edycja, w której wszystkie utwory łączą się. Nie ma przerw. W tle leci cały czas faza E lub G (wygenerowana wcześniej przez 7faz)
Pierwsza płyta, którą producent (Karol Schwarz) poleca słuchać, nie od utworu nr1, a od nr4!***

Muzycy PPE5 namawiają tą długą płytą do spowolnienia naszego szalonego tempa życia. Jednak mimo wrażenia, że nie zmienili akordu (tonacji) przez całe 80 minut, to w rzeczywistości zrobili to dwa razy!

Podsumowując: Hugo Race świetnie poprowadził zespół przez ocean of pure phase waveforms.
