A protest song like you1ve never heard before, lashing out at arrogance, imperialism, stupidity..and the title track of The Modernist1s third momentous album. Following on from November1s 'Comeback' 12inch, also released on Wonder, the perfect reintroduction The Modernist has always been more than just techno, he loves classic pop harmonies, Roddy Frame or Edwyn Collins guitar, the grand gestures of a Martyn Fry or a Kevin Rowland. Whether in his Bionaut guise, as Trinkwasser or together with Mike Ink, echoes of New Order, Pet Shop Boys and The Smiths filter through trance scapes, from techno to homely songwriting. The prolific Joerg Burger (Kangmei is his 13th album in total) has been a recording artist since 1990, operating as (amongst others) Biosphere, Burger Industries, The Bionaut, releasing on labels small and large, from Structure to Harvest.
