"Werchowyno switku ty nasz ..."

25 years of Werchowyna is for us 25 evenings of burning candles and magical singing in the Main Hall of Warsaw University of Technology. It is recording music together and unforgettable concerts at Vatra festivals, during cruises on the Vistula river or in Ukraine. It is quarrels about arrangements, copying and originality. Eventually it is leaving us to join us again.
25 years of Werchowyna is for us definitely much more than only singing – it is Christmas Eve celebrations, trips, and not only musical growing up. For the last 25 years we have created a lot more than we had expected we would, when we first met as a handful of zealously singing students.
For us 25 years of Werchowyna is our unique world – world of emotions and memories hidden deep in polyphonic songs.
We are happy that so many of you have already joined us.

Werchowyna
The album ’25’ contains ritual and lyrical a capella songs performed in Ukrainian, Lemkos, Belarusian and Russian.

Płyta "25" zawiera obrzędowe i liryczne pieśni a capella - ukraińskie, łemkowskie, białoruskie i rosyjskie.

Wydana została z okazji jubileuszu 25-lecia istnienia zespołu, nie jest to jednak płyta podsumowująca dotychczasową działalność WERCHOWYNY, ale całkiem nowy repertuar.
