My fascination with dance music began during my last visit to Mexico, from where I brought the pieces Danzas Tarascas – dances of the Michoacán region, which were hitherto unknown in Europe. At that time, in 2014, Maria and I were preparing for a series of concerts in the Planetarium of Warsaw’s Copernicus Science Center. There, against the „cosmic backdrop”, the music was to spin together with the planets, stars and fractals, becoming part of an extraordinary audio-visual spectacle. Our mutual experience and sensitivity inclined us to consider the deeper sense of this undertaking. Choosing the repertoire – in such a way that the music could keep up with the dynamics of genuine space – became a formidable challenge for us. Under the influence of this inspiration, it became obvious to us that both lyrical and audacious compositions could resonate, yet full of that particular energy, so that those present at the concert would also feel like stars swirling through the blue firmament on our journey of light. The music we chose for the concert repertoire are dances, including compositions created in various time signatures, and from various periods and places. But that is only the notation. Just as with dance, music truly exists only at a given time, in the moment when its notes sound. Therefore it is cosmic, it’s timeless and – though transitory – eternal…Two well-known Argentinian tangos and a little popularized Cuban cha-cha – which Maria found in her home collection – correlated at once with the above-mentioned, rhythmfilled Mexican dances which became our starting point. On the basis of contrast, the Latin music was joined with European court dances, such as the pavanne, menuet, polonaise and English waltz, .......

Z żadną inną dziedziną sztuki nie jest muzyka tak ściśle spokrewniona jak z tańcem, jest to bowiem pokrewieństwo we wspólnocie rytmu – zasadniczego elementu i w muzyce, i w tańcu. (Bohdan Pociej)
Fascynacja muzyką taneczną rozpoczęła się przy okazji mojej ostatniej wizyty w Meksyku, skąd przywiozłam nieznane dotychczas w Europie utwory Danzas Tarascas – tańce regionu Michoacán. W tamtym czasie, a był to rok 2014, szykowałyśmy się z Marią do serii koncertów w Planetarium warszawskiego Centrum Nauki Kopernik. Tamże, na „nieboskłonie”, muzyka zawirować miała wraz z planetami, innymi gwiazdami i fraktalami, stając się częścią wyjątkowego widowiska audiowizualnego. Nasze wspólne doświadczenie i wrażliwość skłoniły nas do zastanowienia się nad głębszym sensem tego przedsięwzięcia. Wybór repertuaru – w taki sposób, aby muzyka mogła nadążyć za dynamiką realnego kosmosu – stał się dla nas sporym wyzwaniem. Pod wpływem tej inspiracji stało się dla nas jasne, iż zabrzmieć mogą kompozycje zarówno liryczne, jak i brawurowe, jednak pełne tej szczególnej energii, aby obecne na koncercie osoby także poczuły się w naszej podróży świetlnej, niczym gwiazdy wirujące na niebieskim firmamencie. Muzyka, którą wybrałyśmy do repertuaru koncertowego to tańce obejmujące kompozycje tworzone w różnym czasie, w różnych epokach i miejscach. Ale to tylko zapis. Tak jak i taniec, muzyka naprawdę istnieje jedynie w danej chwili, w momencie kiedy zabrzmią jej dźwięki. Jest więc kosmiczna, jest ponadczasowa i – choć ulotna – wieczna... Do pełnych rytmiki rzeczonych tańców meksykańskich, które stały się dla nas punktem wyjściowym, przylgnęły od razu dwa znane argentyńskie tanga i – znaleziona przez Marię w domowych zbiorach – mało spopularyzowana kubańska cha-cha. Na zasadzie kontrastu, do muzyki latynoskiej dołączyły europejskie tańce dworskie takie jak: pawana, menuet, polonez czy walc angielski, a to ze względu na ich wielce ujmującą.......
