Manyfingers (aka multi-instrumentalist Chris Cole) emerged out of the shady and mysterious Bristol scene that spawned the likes of Flying Saucer Attack, Movietone, Third Eye Foundation and Amp. Previously best known as Third Eye Foundation luminary Matt Elliotts right hand man, cellist and drinking buddy, Cole has also been a sometime member of legendary pastoralists Movietone as well as being the current drummer of the excellent post rock band Soeza.

Alarmingly talented, Cole is the master of piano, drums, cello, Spanish guitar, accordion and vibraphone (to name but a few!), managing to coax the best from his menagerie of music-makers then massage the filaments into a textured whole that suggests a fully-trained orchestra at work. Just as the self-titled debut on Moteer made starkly clear, Manyfingers has a rare ability to make the kind of music which suggests imaginary soundtracks - but without descending into the usual indistinct grandeur that so blights such clichéd comparisons. With obvious touchstones including Four Tet, God Speed You Black Emperor!, Steve Reich, Sylvain Chauveaux and any number of widescreen impresarios, 'Our Worn Shadow' defies easy description - with corrugated arrangements, piquant rhythms and any number of beatific melodies coating you in warm balm of hushed rectitude. Somehow able to stack layers of elements atop one another without bruising the whole or overwhelming .......

Chris Cole ukrywający się pod pseudonimem Manyfingers (cóż za trafna nazwa) gra na żywo na kilku instrumentach naraz, zapętlając je elektronicznie. Powstaje z tego wybuchowa mieszanka transowo-post-rockowych brzmień, w swej budowie odwołujących się do starej szkoły kraut-rocka.
