Visionary Hours is an acoustic instrumental project that uses a range of traditional and modern, stringed and reed instruments to create melodically ambient instrumental pieces. The Road to Basho, the second release by Visionary Hours, is an album inspired by the famous Japanese wandering poet, Matsuo Basho, is made up of six pieces each dominated by ambiently looped clarinets, piano or string quartet that lead the listener on a journey to the interior.
